United Polaris Enhances In-Flight Experience with Therabody and Saks Fifth Avenue Collaborations
United Airlines has unveiled a significant upgrade to its United Polaris international business class, marking the most extensive enhancement since 2016. This revamp comes in response to the rising demand for international travel and United's expanding presence as the leading carrier across the Atlantic and Pacific.
The airline collaborates with wellness brand Therabody® and luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenues to provide passengers with an unparalleled in-flight experience, emphasizing comfort and relaxation. Introducing these new amenities aligns with recent survey findings, which revealed that 83% of international travelers prioritize sleep during flights, with 61% selecting flights based on sleep considerations.
Therabody Collaboration: United's partnership with Therabody introduces an exclusive onboard amenity kit featuring TheraFace skincare products such as eye serum, face spray, hand cream, and cleansing towelette. These products, housed in a reusable belt bag made from recycled plastic, are designed to ensure passengers feel refreshed upon landing. Additionally, United Polaris lounges will soon feature Therabody's Reset Suites, equipped with wellness technology like the Therabody Lounger, Theragun, and RecoveryAir JetBoots. Passengers can also access wellness videos onboard, offering guidance on relaxation techniques, breathwork, and meditation.
AdvertisingSaks Fifth Avenue Bedding: United Polaris passengers can now enjoy enhanced comfort with Saks Fifth Avenue's refreshed bedding. The bedding includes a limited-edition day blanket designed by acclaimed fashion designer Claude Kameni, made entirely from recycled plastic. Kameni, recognized as one of 2023's influential Black designers, brings a fusion of modern design and traditional African patterns to the blanket, which will be available until early 2024.
Elevated Food & Beverage Offerings: United continues to refine its Polaris food and beverage selection, introducing over 20 new brands to its menu this year. The airline has also reintroduced customer favorites, such as the ice cream sundae cart, and offers the option for passengers to pre-order meals via the United app.
United's Expanding Global Network: United's commitment to global connectivity is evident in its extensive international network. The airline recently announced a significant expansion in the South Pacific, increasing flights between the U.S. and Australia/New Zealand by over 40% compared to 2022. Additionally, United remains the only U.S. airline offering non-stop flights to destinations like Malaga, Dubrovnik, Mallorca, and Tenerife.
Andrew Nocella, United's Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed confidence that the new amenities, developed in collaboration with Therabody and Saks Fifth Avenue, will elevate the overall flying experience for United Polaris passengers.
