The announcement came on Wednesday, 13th September, detailing an expansion that includes six new routes and adding a new aircraft to its Prague base.
New Routes and Increased Frequencies
The Winter 23/24 schedule introduces six exciting routes from Prague, connecting travelers to Catania, East Midlands, Gdańsk, Malaga, Seville, and Tirana. Additionally, Ryanair will increase the frequency of flights on 12 existing routes, including popular destinations such as Barcelona, Budapest, Dublin, Madrid, Manchester, Paris, and Rome.
Investment and Job Creation
Ryanair's expansion at Prague Airport represents a substantial investment in the region, with the addition of a new aircraft taking the total to four based aircraft, representing a $400 million investment in Prague. This growth, which indicates a 20% increase, is expected to support over 1,900 jobs, including 120 highly paid positions in aviation and engineering. The airline anticipates an annual traffic growth of 2.4 million passengers per annum.
