WestJet, in collaboration with The National Hockey League (NHL®), has announced its role as the official airline for the 2023 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic™. The event is set to take place on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the renowned Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton. This marks the 20th anniversary of the outdoor NHL game, returning to its inaugural city.

WestJet Group Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer John Weatherill expressed the airline's enthusiasm for the partnership. He stated, "Hockey is an integral part of our province's identity, and the NHL Heritage Classic™ is a testament to Canada's love for the sport. We are excited to be the official airline for this event, connecting over 22 communities directly to Edmonton for what promises to be a memorable Battle of Alberta."
