Alaska Airlines Launches Seasonal Nonstop Flights from Anchorage to New York City and San Diego

ANCHORAGE – Alaska Airlines is set to enhance its summer offerings by introducing seasonal nonstop services connecting Anchorage with both New York City and San Diego. These new routes are a testament to the airline's commitment to providing more travel options and connectivity for its customers.

Alaska Airlines' New Routes

Starting June 13, 2024, travelers can enjoy daily flights to New York's JFK Airport. Additionally, beginning May 18, 2024, weekly flights to San Diego will be available. These flights are now open for booking on alaskaair.com.

The new nonstop service between New York and Anchorage offers an unparalleled opportunity for New Yorkers to delve into the wonders of Alaska, from its rich native culture and delectable seafood to its breathtaking landscapes and historic towns. Notably, this will be the only nonstop service connecting New York JFK and Anchorage.

The Anchorage-New York JFK route, spanning 3,386 miles, will be the longest flight in Alaska Airlines' network. The airline will deploy its new 737-8 aircraft for this route, boasting the longest range in its fleet and enabling the addition of new nonstop destinations.

This summer, Alaska Airlines will serve a record 14 nonstop destinations from Anchorage, including Chicago, Denver, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle, and Seattle/Everett (Paine Field).

With the addition of destinations like New York and San Diego, we're offering a robust flight schedule with 63 departures a day from Anchorage during our peak summer days."
