TOULOUSE, September 6, 2023 — Turkish Airlines, Türkiye’s national flag carrier, has fortified its commitment to offering an enhanced flying experience by ordering ten additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft. This strategic acquisition elevates the airline's total A350-900 fleet to 40, showcasing its confidence in the Airbus brand and the remarkable capabilities of the A350-900 model.

A Testament to a Flourishing Partnership

This latest order comes from a previous agreement announced in August, where Turkish Airlines procured four A350-900s, demonstrating the airline's trust in the Airbus brand. Christian Scherer, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Airbus International expressed delight over the extended partnership, emphasizing the A350's role as a connector between Istanbul and the world, thanks to its superior range capability, passenger capacity, and comfort.

The A350-900: A Beacon of Efficiency and Comfort

The A350-900 is a testament to modern engineering, boasting state-of-the-art technologies, aerodynamics, and lightweight materials, coupled with new engines that deliver a 25% advantage in fuel burn, operating costs, and CO2 emissions compared to previous-generation competitor aircraft. Notably, it also ensures a 50% reduction in noise footprint, promising a quieter, more comfortable flight experience.

As of the end of July, the A350 had garnered over 1,000 orders from leading carriers globally, establishing itself as the long-range leader in the 300-410 seater category and a favorite among airlines aiming for unbeatable economics and efficiency.
