Porter Airlines, a prominent North American airline, has announced a significant expansion of its fleet with the firm order of 25 Embraer E195-E2 passenger jets. This order adds to the airline's existing 50 firm orders, bringing the total to 75 E195-E2s, with an additional 25 purchase rights. The deal, valued at approximately US$2.1 billion at list price, marks a major investment in the airline's future operations and service expansion.

Strategic Expansion for North American Routes
The new aircraft are set to be used to extend Porter's award-winning service across North America. This expansion is a strategic move by Porter to increase its presence and service offerings in key markets, including new destinations such as Las Vegas, Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and planned routes to Mexico and the Caribbean. The deliveries from this additional order are scheduled to commence in 2025.
Enhancing Passenger Experience
Porter Airlines, recognized as the North American launch customer for Embraer's E195-E2, has already taken delivery of 24 E195-E2s. The airline has chosen to configure the 146-seat aircraft in a comfortable 132-seat all-economy configuration, offering a variety of seat pitches – 36, 34, and 30 inches – to cater to different passenger needs. This configuration underscores Porter's commitment to providing a high-quality, comfortable travel experience for its passengers.
