American Airlines Expands New England and Nova Scotia Routes in 2024
American Airlines is set to enhance its route network in the summer of 2024, introducing seven new routes to coastal destinations in New England and Nova Scotia. This expansion is part of the airline's ongoing commitment to provide customers with diverse travel options.
The new routes will include six cities accessible from New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA), taking the total number of nonstop destinations from LGA to 75. Brian Znotins, American's Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning, emphasized the airline's dedication to offering customers comprehensive access to their desired destinations. He stated, "New service to Hyannis, expanded service from New York, and more international service grows the largest global network in the United States, connecting more cities than any other U.S. carrier."
Starting June 5, 2024, American Airlines will commence service to Hyannis, Massachusetts (HYA) from LGA and Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA). This marks the airline's first-ever service to Hyannis, positioning American as the sole global network carrier to serve this airport. The new route will provide travelers with convenient one-stop connections to over 80 destinations across North America, making Hyannis an accessible gateway to Cape Cod.
Furthermore, the airline will introduce service to five cities along the Northeastern coast from LGA. Notably, American will be the exclusive carrier offering service from LGA to Halifax, Canada (YHZ).Advertising
