Air France Collaborates with Alltheway for Remote Baggage Drop-Off in Paris

Air France has introduced a new service for its customers, allowing them to drop off and check in their baggage at various locations in Paris and the surrounding region before reaching the airport. This initiative aims to provide passengers with a hassle-free travel experience, enabling them to journey without the burden of their luggage, which they can retrieve upon reaching their destination.

This innovative service is possible through a partnership with Alltheway, a start-up specializing in travel and mobility solutions. Currently, the service is accessible at eight partner locations, including five ACCOR hotels in central Paris: Novotel Tour Eiffel, Mercure Tour Eiffel, Novotel Les Halles, Mercure Montparnasse, and Pullman Bercy. Additionally, travelers can avail of this service at significant exhibition venues such as the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Villepinte Exhibition Centre, and the Palais des Congrès Convention Center. Air France has plans to expand the number of baggage drop-off points in Paris soon.

Alltheway oversees the baggage collection process at these drop-off points and ensures their delivery directly to Air France's check-in desks at the airport. To guarantee security, the baggage undergoes stringent checks throughout its journey. Customers can monitor their baggage's progress to the airport and their final destination using the "follow my bag" feature in the Air France application.

Depending on the drop-off location, the service can be availed 30 to 4 hours before the flight's departure. The pricing is 25 euros for the first bag and 10 euros for each subsequent bag. This service is currently available for all Air France flights departing from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, with plans to extend it to flights from Paris-Orly. Furthermore, Air France is exploring options for home baggage check-in and delivery services within Paris and its vicinity.
