United Airlines Unveils Record-Breaking Transatlantic Summer Schedule for 2024

Chicago, IL – United Airlines is set to make summer 2024 an unforgettable season for travelers with the announcement of its largest transatlantic schedule ever. The airline is expanding its horizons with new non-stop flights, including the only direct service between the U.S. and Faro, Portugal, and additional routes to sought-after European destinations.

United's Transatlantic Expansion: A Gateway to Europe's Treasures

Starting in summer 2024, United will offer non-stop flights to 38 cities across the Atlantic, providing unparalleled access to some of Europe's most iconic locations. The airline's expansion includes the debut of the sole direct flight from New York/Newark to Faro, Portugal, and new services to Reykjavik, Brussels, Rome, and Malaga. This move not only enhances United's already robust network but also solidifies its position as the U.S. carrier with the most transatlantic destinations.

Early Bird Gets the European Adventure

In a strategic move to cater to the increasing demand for spring travel, United is launching nine of its seasonal routes up to two months earlier. This early start allows travelers more flexibility and time to explore the vibrant cultures of Portugal, Italy, France, and Spain. Patrick Quayle, United's senior vice president of global network planning and alliances, highlights the airline's commitment to offering customers "more flexibility and choice when planning their trips abroad."
