Key elements of Jazz's reconciliation efforts include:
- Indigenous Employee Resource Group: A platform for information sharing, connections, and education and training opportunities.
- Leave for Traditional Indigenous Practices: Developed in consultation with Indigenous employees.
- Participation in the North American Indigenous Games: In July 2023, seven Indigenous employees represented Jazz in an immersive experience at the games.
Supporting Indigenous Youths in Aviation
Jazz's commitment extends to Indigenous youths and those interested in aviation careers. This includes annual Indspire scholarships, recruitment resources dedicated to Indigenous candidates, and partnerships with Indigenous educational institutions and employment organizations to promote aviation opportunities.
Lily Dailleboust, a Flight Attendant at Jazz and a Mohawk, expressed gratitude for the inclusive environment at Jazz, where she feels respected and able to embrace her identity.
