The THRIVE Challenge and Delta's Role
The homes built by Delta this year are part of Atlanta Habitat’s THRIVE Challenge, a collective effort to positively impact affordable housing in Atlanta. This challenge encourages corporations to sponsor at least one new home build, aiming to add at least 10 additional homes. Alan Ferguson Sr., CEO of Atlanta Habitat, highlighted the importance of such initiatives in addressing socio-economic disparities and barriers to homeownership for working families.
Delta's Longstanding Partnership with Habitat for Humanity
Since their partnership began in 1995, Delta volunteers have helped build or rehabilitate 283 homes across 13 countries with Habitat for Humanity. Delta's involvement is driven by the belief that affordable housing is crucial for strong and stable communities. Over the last five years, Atlanta Habitat has had an estimated $40 million impact on affordable housing in neighborhoods across Atlanta and South Fulton County.
