Delta Air Lines is set to soar higher in the Latin and Caribbean regions this winter, announcing a significant expansion in its flight frequencies from six major U.S. hubs. This strategic move translates to a remarkable 30% surge in available seats compared to the previous winter season.

Delta Air Lines Amplifies Latin and Caribbean Service with 30% Seat Increase

ATLANTA, GA - Delta Air Lines is set to soar higher in the Latin and Caribbean regions this winter, announcing a significant expansion in its flight frequencies from six major U.S. hubs. This strategic move translates to a remarkable 30% surge in available seats compared to the previous winter season.

The airline's expansion will enhance connectivity to nine sought-after destinations, including Guatemala; Liberia, Costa Rica in Central America; and the vibrant San Juan, Puerto Rico.

"Delta's commitment to the Latin region has never been stronger," said a spokesperson from the airline. "Our enhanced flight frequencies not only cater to the growing demand for these destinations but also establish a pivotal gateway for our customers to over 100 U.S. cities via our largest hub in Atlanta."

Expanded Flight Frequencies: Delta's bolstered service includes increased Saturday frequencies to several cities:

  • From Atlanta: Flights to St. Thomas (3x), St. Maarten (2x), Guatemala (2x), San José (3x), Liberia (3x), and San Juan (6x).
  • From New York-JFK: Flights to Cancun (3x).
  • From Detroit: Flights to Punta Cana (2x), Montego Bay (2x), and San Juan (2x).
  • From Minneapolis: Flights to Punta Cana (2x), Montego Bay (2x), San Juan (2x), and an added Liberia service.
  • From Boston: Flights to San Juan (2x).

These enhanced Saturday routes will commence seasonally from January 13, operated by a mix of aircraft, including the Boeing 757-200, 737-900, and 737-800, all equipped with First Class, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin.

Additionally, Delta is introducing an extra Seattle to Cancun trip, departing Fridays and returning Saturdays, starting seasonally from December 22 on the Boeing 737-800.

Largest-Ever Holiday Schedule: Delta recently showcased its most extensive holiday schedule to date, which now extends to April 2024, covering 46 destinations. This includes the debut of a route to Curacao and the return of service to Cartagena, Colombia. Furthermore, in collaboration with the LATAM group, Delta continues to introduce joint venture routes, strengthening the combined network between North and South America.

Elevated In-Flight Experience: Travelers aboard these flights can anticipate fast, complimentary Wi-Fi and access to Delta Studio, offering over 1,000 hours of on-demand content. The in-flight menu boasts a variety of unique beverages and snacks available for purchase, including Thrive Farmers Tea, Tip Top’s old fashioneds, espresso martinis, and the delectable White Chocolate Macadamia bars from Kate’s Real Food.

Delta also introduces Delta Sync exclusives, a pioneering platform designed to enhance the onboard customer experience, exclusively for SkyMiles Members.
