MONTREAL, August 11, 2023 — Air Transat, a leading travel brand based in Montreal and recently crowned the World's Best Leisure Airline for the fifth time at the Skytrax World Airline Awards, is set to enhance its winter program with exclusive direct flights to Lima, Peru, from Montreal and Toronto. This strategic expansion marks the resumption of the airline's operations in Cozumel, Mexico.

Diversifying Long-Haul Offerings with New Destinations

Michèle Barre, Transat's Chief Revenue Officer, expressed pride in adding Lima to the airline's diverse portfolio of destinations spanning three continents. The addition leverages the capabilities of their A321LR aircraft, aiming to capitalize on the growing tourism sector in South America while reinforcing their presence in the Mexican market, a pivotal part of their Caribbean winter program.

Flight Schedules and Details

The Toronto-Lima route will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from December 20, 2023, to April 24, 2024. Meanwhile, the Montreal-Lima route is scheduled for Fridays from December 22, 2023, to April 26, 2024. Additionally, travelers can look forward to the Montreal-Cozumel route, available weekly on Fridays, from December 15, 2023, to April 26, 2024.
